We are SO excited to welcome you to our home! As the founders of XL Escapes, we pour our hearts into creating a space where you can relax, unwind, and make lasting memories.

With two rescue dogs—Holly from Bosnia and Buddy from All Bullie Rescue—and Nala, our beautiful ginger cat (and undisputed Queen of the house), we understand how important it is to feel not just at home, but truly content and relaxed—especially when traveling with your furry companions.

Our goal is to offer more than just a holiday; we want to provide a home away from home where you can escape daily pressures, have a laugh, and enjoy quality time with loved ones. Whether it’s a cosy night in, exploring the local area, or simply making time for yourself, we’re here to make your stay special.

They’ve designed the pitch to be inclusive, safe, and stress-free for all breeds — especially for those with multiple dogs or reactive pups who need space and security.

Tucked away on a peaceful working farm near Machynlleth, this is no ordinary camping pitch — it’s a private, dog-friendly escape where unlimited dogs stay free. With secure fencing (4ft, plus new 1.5m screening at the back), firework-free skies, and mountain spring water straight from the tap, it’s the perfect off-grid adventure for dogs and their humans.

The Dulas Camping Pitch offers an exclusive slice of Mid Wales countryside. Whether you’re arriving with a campervan (up to 7m), a tent, or even car camping, you’ll have this fully enclosed pitch all to yourself. Dogs are truly at the heart of this place. The 4ft-fenced boundary, now with added 1.5m screening at the rear, means dogs can safely relax off-lead. Sheep can be moved from the fields if needed, and if you’d like extra zoomie space, the hosts may be able to allocate you a livestock-free field (good recall required). Best of all, there’s no limit on the number of dogs — and no extra charge. Facilities are rustic but thoughtful. A private bathroom shed provides a hot shower, flushing loo, Belfast sink, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, and even a spare socket for charging. Drinking water is fresh, filtered mountain spring water. The pitch is just 10 minutes from shops in Machynlleth, 25 minutes from the beaches of Ynyslas and Aberdyfi, and a 10–15 minute walk to the Afon Hengwm River. Set on a working farm in the hills of Mid Wales, the location feels remote but is never far from essentials. Walking and bike trails are nearby, offering plenty to explore for both dogs and humans.
