We are SO excited to welcome you to our home! As the founders of XL Escapes, we pour our hearts into creating a space where you can relax, unwind, and make lasting memories.
With two rescue dogs—Holly from Bosnia and Buddy from All Bullie Rescue—and Nala, our beautiful ginger cat (and undisputed Queen of the house), we understand how important it is to feel not just at home, but truly content and relaxed—especially when traveling with your furry companions.
Our goal is to offer more than just a holiday; we want to provide a home away from home where you can escape daily pressures, have a laugh, and enjoy quality time with loved ones. Whether it’s a cosy night in, exploring the local area, or simply making time for yourself, we’re here to make your stay special.
If you have any requests—big or small—just let us know. We’re always happy to help (and we love an excuse to bring a smile to your face, drink in hand, of course!).

One of Corfe & Purbeck Holidays' Very Pet Friendly properties, Chaffeys Cottage has been thoughtfully prepared for guests holidaying with their dogs.
The team understand that dogs are part of the family, which is why they're welcome throughout the living areas, sofa cuddles are encouraged with throws, and practical touches such as dog towels, throws and a secure garden help make your stay as relaxing as possible.

A charming Grade II listed cottage sleeping up to 6 guests, with a large enclosed garden, log burner and countryside walks straight from the doorstep. Chaffeys Cottage welcomes up to 3 dogs and is just a short walk from Corfe Castle village and common.

Chaffeys Cottage is a charming Grade II listed character cottage, located just moments from Corfe Common, where many of the area's best walks begin, yet only a 5 to 10-minute stroll from the village square with its independent shops, traditional pubs and the iconic Corfe Castle.
Tastefully modernised whilst retaining many original features, Chaffeys Cottage offers the perfect blend of traditional charm and comfortable living, making it an ideal base for families or small groups exploring the Jurassic Coast and surrounding countryside.
The cottage sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms:
Ground floor twin bedroom.
First floor double bedroom.
First floor bunk bedroom with full-size bunk beds.
There are two bathrooms, including a ground floor shower room and a first floor family bathroom.
The welcoming open-plan sitting and dining room centres around an impressive inglenook fireplace with a wood-burning stove, creating the perfect place to relax after a day outdoors.
The well-equipped galley kitchen overlooks the garden and includes everything needed for a self-catering stay, while a separate utility area houses a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Outside, the large enclosed garden provides a peaceful place to relax, complete with outdoor furniture for dining or enjoying the fresh Dorset air.
Please note that, as a traditional cottage, Chaffeys has low ceilings, exposed beams, narrow doorways and winding stairs which all add to its character.

Dog-Friendly Details That Matter
XL Bullies are welcomed.
Up to 3 dogs are welcome, although guests with more dogs are encouraged to enquire as some flexibility may be available.
The large garden is fully enclosed and secured with a mixture of approximately 6ft fencing and tall, dense hedging. One section has a lower fence, although the owner advises the garden remains secure.
The garden has secure side access.
Dogs are welcome throughout the living areas.
Sofa cuddles are welcome, provided throws are used.
Dog throws and towels are usually provided if you've forgotten yours.
Dogs may be left at the cottage once they're settled, provided they are crated.
Countryside walks can be accessed directly from the doorstep, with Corfe Common just moments away.
The enclosed garden offers very little visibility of passing people or dogs, making it a good option for many reactive dogs.
The cottage is semi-detached, so it's worth bearing in mind that the neighbouring property may have a dog.
