About This Listing:

This listing is based on information provided and confirmed by its owners, who remain responsible for its accuracy, including that they welcome XL Bullies and have reviewed their own legal and insurance responsibilities. Last confirmed on 5 July 2026. XL Escapes shares this information to help you make informed decisions but does not own or manage this business.

Full Property Description:

I'm Layne Arlina, a qualified dog trainer, behaviourist, and dog bite prevention educator. Not all professionals are qualified and insured to train and rehabilitate XL Bullies — I am. As an experienced bull breed owner and trainer, I see the big baby underneath the labels and bad press. Any dog can be dangerous, but bull breeds need to be taught with kindness and skill so they can learn to control their immense power and big emotions. I don't agree with, or use, methods that cause discomfort or fear. Successful behaviour change happens when both the dog and their guardian feel supported and confident. I use the skills I've learnt from working and living with bull breeds to help you regain control on the lead without corrections. I help you understand your dog as the animal, breed and individual they are by teaching body language and strengthening your ability to recognise what they need from you. If you've found me through XL Escapes, quote the code SQUISHY FACE to receive a discount when booking. If you haven't already, join me on Facebook where I share training tips, behaviour advice and videos of my young Jack Russell Terrier, Hero.

For Our Four Legged Guests:

XL Bullies are welcomed and Layne is qualified and insured to train and rehabilitate them. Reactive dogs are welcomed. Fear-free, welfare-focused training methods are used throughout. Training is available in person or remotely via video. Sessions are charged per household, so all dogs within the household are included, as household dynamics are considered an important part of behaviour work. When visiting your dog, they will need to wear a muzzle initially so training can be carried out safely and positively. If training takes place in an enclosed paddock that permits it, your dog may be able to work without a muzzle while Layne instructs from the opposite side of the mesh. This approach is designed for dogs who cannot safely be approached and allows guardians to remain actively involved throughout training. XL Bully owners should have their exemption certificate available so a copy can be taken. If your dog is involved in a legal case, relevant documentation will also need to be provided before training.

Meet The Owners

My old dog Chester was a Stafford Pitty mix and truly strengthened my skills when it comes to supporting owners of strong, boisterous and reactive dogs. Due to his past he was a bite risk with high care needs, and it was exhausting at times trying to keep him and everyone around us safe. So I get it. I teach reactive dog guardians how to confidently advocate for their dogs' needs so they can stop feeling isolated and stressed. The way I work isn't about taking dogs away to fix them — I work with you to repair problems together so the solutions last. Living with a reactive dog is hard, and you shouldn't have to do it alone. When you have a bull breed that threatens people or other dogs, it's absolutely a team effort.

XL Escapes Peace Of Mind Promise

Every business you see on XL Escapes has confirmed to us that they welcome XL Bullies. Before being listed, we ask the questions we'd want answered ourselves — from real experience living and travelling with XL and reactive dogs. That includes confirming they are happy to host XL Bullies, that their listing details are accurate, and that they've considered their own legal and insurance responsibilities. We don't assume. We don't guess. We ask — and they confirm. If anything changes or a business doesn't stand by what they've told us, we take it seriously. If a business listed on XL Escapes turns you away because of your dog's breed, contact us. We will review it, remove them if necessary, and refund your membership.
