Meet The Owners

Your host, Carol Grinsted, has been welcoming guests to Drifters Cottage since 2018, creating a warm and inviting retreat for families, friends, and, of course, their four-legged companions. As a passionate dog owner herself to Bella and Loulou, Carol understands just how important it is to find a holiday home where dogs are truly welcome—not just tolerated. With a love for coastal living and countryside adventures, Carol has carefully designed Drifters Cottage to be a relaxing escape, ensuring both guests and their furry friends feel completely at home. From the dog-friendly setup (where pups are welcome on the sofas with throws) to the secure enclosed gardens, every detail has been considered with comfort and convenience in mind. Carol takes great pride in offering a friendly, personal touch, always happy to provide local recommendations—whether it’s the best dog-friendly beaches, scenic walking routes, or cosy village pubs nearby. She knows that holidays are about making memories, and she looks forward to welcoming you to Drifters Cottage for a wonderful, tail-wagging stay!
