For Our Four Legged Guests:

XL Bullies are welcomed, along with all other breeds. Reactive dogs are welcome, and the owners have successfully hosted reactive dogs in the past. There is no limit on the number of dogs, and there are no additional charges for bringing them. Previous guests have stayed with up to 14 small dogs and, more recently, seven Labradors and a Spaniel. Dogs are allowed throughout the cottage, including on the furniture. If your dogs sleep on the bed, guests are asked to bring their own bedding. Settee throws are also requested. Dogs must not be left unattended in the cottage. The garden is private and fully enclosed, with parking inside the enclosed area. Boundaries consist mainly of approximately 3'6" stock fencing lined with plastic-coated mesh, with approximately 4'6" wooden fencing to the rear of the property. Meet The Owners

We are Sue and Mike, who are very fortunate to have stumbled across a really beautiful, tranquil and unspoilt area of Scotland, and wanted to share our experience with you. Having owned more than 30 dogs over the years, mainly Rottweilers, we understand the stigma that some breeds can face. We genuinely love all dogs and wanted to create somewhere that allows owners to enjoy a relaxing break knowing every dog is truly welcome. We currently share our home with our three rescue Rottweilers, Bosley, Enya and our latest addition, baby Hugo.

XL Escapes Peace Of Mind Promise

Every business you see on XL Escapes has confirmed to us that they welcome XL Bullies. Before being listed, we ask the questions we'd want answered ourselves — from real experience living and travelling with XL and reactive dogs. That includes confirming they are happy to host XL Bullies, that their listing details are accurate, and that they've considered their own legal and insurance responsibilities. We don't assume. We don't guess. We ask — and they confirm. If anything changes or a business doesn't stand by what they've told us, we take it seriously. If a business listed on XL Escapes turns you away because of your dog's breed, contact us. We will review it, remove them if necessary, and refund your membership.
