We are SO excited to welcome you to our home! As the founders of XL Escapes, we pour our hearts into creating a space where you can relax, unwind, and make lasting memories.

With two rescue dogs—Holly from Bosnia and Buddy from All Bullie Rescue—and Nala, our beautiful ginger cat (and undisputed Queen of the house), we understand how important it is to feel not just at home, but truly content and relaxed—especially when traveling with your furry companions.

Our goal is to offer more than just a holiday; we want to provide a home away from home where you can escape daily pressures, have a laugh, and enjoy quality time with loved ones. Whether it’s a cosy night in, exploring the local area, or simply making time for yourself, we’re here to make your stay special.

Sleeping four, this cosy two-bedroom retreat is ideal for families, couples, or friends. With a secluded beach on the doorstep, a private garden, log burner, and beautiful interiors, it’s the perfect base for exploring Oban, the Inner Hebrides, and the breathtaking scenery of the Highlands.

Positioned in an elevated spot, you can take in ever-changing vistas of Ardmucknish Bay from the comfort of the large window seat or from the outdoor decking. The house features a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, and all modern appliances. The lounge/dining room is a warm, inviting space with a log-burning fire, comfortable corner sofa, Smart TV, books, and board games — perfect for cosy evenings. Upstairs are two comfortable bedrooms: one king-size and one double, along with a bathroom offering both a shower and a bath, plus complimentary toiletries from The Highland Soap Co. Dog-Friendly Details That Matter 

- Up to two dogs are welcome per stay. - Enclosed private garden (fence height is 3ft therefore supervision is recommended) - Dogs must be well behaved around other dogs as the owners garden is nearby and they have a chocolate lab. - Dogs are allowed on the furniture as long as owners bring their own throws/sheets to cover and protect the furniture. - Dogs must not be left unattended. - Secluded beach just steps from the house for safe walks and play. - All breeds welcomed, including XL Bullies with correct exemption paperwork.

Neighbourhood Overview:

Craigneuk is set in Benderloch, a small, friendly village with a shop for essentials, a seasonal coffee and book shop, and easy access to local pubs. The Caledonian Cycle Way runs directly in front of the house, and the nearest pub, the Lochnell Arms, is a 40-minute walk along the route. The Oyster Inn and Gluepot bar are just over Connel Bridge, while the town of Oban is only 15 minutes by car — perfect for day trips to the Inner Hebrides.
